Testimonial
Authentic outback pub
Authentic outback pub , great food, cold beer, good staff and the owner Ben is a great bloke too.
Great steak dinner - lovely staff
Literally THE Best steak dinner!!! The Staff were friendly & very helpful … a great local hangout with plenty outdoor space, 2 pool tables & a great atmosphere. Very centrally located in town. Menu had lots options – but we both had steaks. Really good!
Grey nomads
From the outside this pub is not at all inviting – but then you step inside and you’re part of the family!
We just had one of the best pub meals in our 5 weeks away. For me, the side dish of Brussel sprouts, with bacon and pickled red onion and mustard dressing was restaurant quality and a massive serve to boot. For hubby, the steak sandwich was a winner. Not much choice on the specials board – but what was on was 10/10. Congratulations to the young pommie dude in the kitchen!
Great place for a drink or a meal.
We went wice for dinner with friends. Great old pub. It was newly bought so some things to ironbout in the bar service area but the food ordering and delivery spot on. We ordered in our groyp, crumbed steak, chicken parmy and fish n chips. Big sized meals as you would expect in the outback meals well prized as was the drinks
Clean & Cheerful
Like stepping back in time. Nice big bar and friendly staff. Stopped in for a drink in the 46 degree Queensland outback heat. Cool and refreshing drinks, clean toilets and good service. Didn’t book a room as we were travelling on further.
Top Country Pub
Known as the Top Pub to locals. The historic Julia Creek hotel is a great place to visit if you want a great country pub experience. The staff are friendly, the meals are huge and the beer cold. It has a large beer garden, nice and cool during the summer, pool tables and also offers accommodation, and Dave the publican is a top bloke, happy to have a chat as well are the locals
